Lately, I've been thinking of switching up my company name from Ashley Hamm Photography to Cutest Clients Ever Photography!! Thoughts, comments, feedback? Ok, just kidding! Fall family portrait sessions in Evanston are always some of my favorites. The lakefront, charming neighborhoods, and beautiful parks make Evanston one of the best places for family photos near Chicago!

I met this wonderful family at Grosse Pointe Lighthouse for their family portrait session, and after a weekend of rain, we had perfect blue skies and warm golden hour light. Evanston’s lakefront is an incredible backdrop for family photography, especially in the fall when the colors and sunsets along Lake Michigan are at their best.

If you are planning family photos in Evanston, the lakefront, Lighthouse Beach, and the nearby parks all offer beautiful natural settings. I always recommend scheduling your session about an hour before sunset for the softest light and the most flattering portraits.
