Getting Wedding Day Ready: Favorite Spaces & Advice

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding day! To help you select and create a stress-free getting-ready space for your day, I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite getting-ready spaces and venues and a list of helpful tips for the day.

Light & Bright

If it’s your goal for your photos to be captured in natural light with a bright feel, when booking your getting-ready space, be it a hotel room, Airbnb, or for creating a space at home, be sure to plan to have windows that provide natural light in the space.

Keep it Tidy

Prior to your photographers’ arrival, be sure to keep the room clear of clutter to prevent your photographer from having to clean the room. Being portrait ready can save time for you to capture more portraits!

Room for One or Room for All?

To help your photographer capture more authentic moments with your friends and family, when booking your hotel, Airbnb, or creating a space in your home, be sure to leave room for people in your party to get their hair and makeup done, eat brunch, relax, get ready, and hang out! This can mean a hotel suite or space with multiple seating areas, counter space for food items, and/or two adjacent rooms.

Outlets

Sharing your space with your bridal party? Be sure to bring an extension cord to ensure you’ve got enough outlets for everyone!
